Responsible Gambling – The Paper Punter
Last updated 14 October 2026
18+ only
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. Gambling is illegal for under-18s in Great Britain.
We don't take bets
The Paper Punter publishes tips and paper-only results. We don't take bets or money, and we don't want anyone to bet more than they can afford to lose. Tips are opinions – no tip is a sure thing, and our paper record does not predict future results.
Keep it fun
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stick to them.
- Only bet money you can afford to lose – never money for bills or rent.
- Don't chase losses.
- Don't gamble when upset, stressed, or after drinking.
- Take breaks. Gambling isn't a way to make money.
Signs it might be a problem
Spending more than you planned, borrowing to gamble, hiding it from others, feeling anxious or irritable when not gambling, or gambling to escape problems.
